JOHN BREEN is a super terrific director, writer, producer, actor and teacher. His acting credits include Wendy and Lucy with a little someone called Michelle Williams; Untraceable starring, maybe you’ve heard of her, Diane Lane; numerous appearances on a show…what was it called again? Oh yeah, Late Night with Conan O’Brien. He also appeared in Portlandia and Leverage, starred in James Westby’s The Auteur, Rid of Me and Film Geek. And portrayed a bad-ass MMA fighter in Todd Freeman’s Cell Count, not a stretch.
Breen has directed for Nike, Verizon, NAPA, and Anker. He is currently developing two feature films The Last Garden and Crook County War. He’s directed several short films, screening in NYC, SF, LA and PDX.
As a stage director, Breen only directs insane hits: Rudolph On Stage!, The Lost Boys-Live!, Road House:The Play!, The Aces, Sweat.
As an improviser and sketch comedian, Breen was on house teams at Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre in NYC, performed at Annoyance Theater in Chicago, IO West in Los Angeles, Vancouver International Comedy Festival and the sketch circuit in New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, San Francisco, Seattle. He currently performs with The Liberators, “the standout improv troupe in town.”- Portland Mercury, as well as Bang + Burn, and The Breen Room.
